Esperanza Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving Northeast Ohio through programs that support academic success, leadership development, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning. Through education, mentorship, and career-connected opportunities, Esperanza empowers students, families, and adult learners to achieve their goals and strengthen our community.
Our Six Main Areas of Focus Include:
Academics: Esperanza provides academic support programs that help students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for future success. Through tutoring, enrichment opportunities, mentorship, and college and career readiness support, students are equipped with the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond.
Adult Learner: Esperanza’s Adult Learners program provides educational opportunities that support personal growth, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning. Through English language instruction, citizenship preparation, digital literacy, and academic support services, adult learners are empowered to build confidence, strengthen skills, and pursue new opportunities for themselves and their families.
Esperanza Youth Leadership Program: Esperanza’s Youth Leadership program empowers students through leadership development, mentorship, college and career readiness, and community engagement opportunities. Participants build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and explore pathways that prepare them for future academic, professional, and personal success.
Mentoring: Esperanza’s mentoring program connects students with dedicated mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and support throughout their academic and personal journeys. Through mentorship, students gain valuable insight, build confidence, and receive support in exploring college, career, and leadership opportunities.
Post-Secondary: Esperanza’s post-secondary programs support students throughout their college journey by providing guidance, mentorship, academic support, and career-connected resources. From navigating campus life to building professional skills, students receive the tools and support needed to persist, graduate, and succeed beyond college.
STEAM Summer Camp: Esperanza Inc.’s annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Summer Camp is a free program for students. The camp is designed to build students’ knowledge and confidence in these subjects, while also providing strong literacy, socio-emotional, and health components. The camp includes group and individual mentoring, and students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, such as robotics, coding, engineering, and art.
