Post-Secondary

Post Secondary Programs | Spanish Charity Organizations

With a 99% college retention rate, 30% above the national average, Esperanza’s Post-Secondary Division provides financial, professional, and personal support to Latino college students through culturally tailored Programs reaching across Greater Cleveland and beyond.

Post-secondary education is any education beyond high school, including two-year colleges, four-year universities, and vocational schools. It offers a wide range of benefits, both personal and financial, to those who pursue it.

College Mentoring

Our mentoring program matches 100+ college students with qualified professionals in the Greater Cleveland area.
We use a user-friendly online program (MentorCliq) to aid in the communications between mentor-mentee, as well as Esperanza staff.

Lideres Avanzando

Líderes Avanzando supports first-generation Latino students in their first and second years of college.
Through team-building activities, monthly workshops and events, students receive support services relevant to their experiences.

Esperanza College Scholarship

Each year, as part of our mission to improve the academic achievement of Hispanics in Greater Cleveland, Esperanza grants scholarships to students entering or continuing their college education. Since awarding our first college scholarship in 1983, the number of Hispanic students enrolling in college has grown. The number of scholarships granted is based on scholarship dollars raised each year with our most recent scholarship class consisting of 100 deserving and dedicated students.
