With a 99% college retention rate, 30% above the national average, Esperanza’s Post-Secondary Division provides financial, professional, and personal support to college students through tailored Programs reaching across Greater Cleveland and beyond.
Post-secondary education is any education beyond high school, including two-year colleges, four-year universities, and vocational schools. It offers a wide range of benefits, both personal and financial, to those who pursue it.
Our mentoring program matches 100+ college students with qualified professionals in the Greater Cleveland area.
We use a user-friendly online program (MentorCliq) to aid in the communications between mentor-mentee, as well as Esperanza staff.
Advancing Leaders is a college success and leadership development program designed to support first- and second-year college students as they navigate their academic journey.
Through mentorship, workshops, and community engagement, participants build the confidence, skills, and connections needed to persist through college and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Each year, as part of our mission to improve the academic achievement of students in Greater Cleveland, Esperanza grants scholarships to students entering or continuing their college education. Since awarding our first college scholarship in 1983, the number of students pursuing higher education has continued to grow. The number of scholarships granted is based on the funds raised annually, with our most recent scholarship class consisting of 100 deserving and dedicated students.
