Esperanza Inc. is a non profit organization offering a wide range of programs and services to Hispanic students and families in Cleveland, Ohio. These programs are designed to help students succeed academically, prepare for college and careers, and become leaders in their communities.

Our Six Main Areas of Focus Include:

Academics: Esperanza Inc. provides a variety of academic programs for Hispanic students in Cleveland, Ohio. These programs include after-school tutoring, summer enrichment programs, and college preparation courses. The goal of these programs is to help students succeed academically and prepare them for college and beyond.

Adult Learner: Esperanza Inc.’s Adult Learner program provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, citizenship classes, and GED preparation classes to adult immigrants in Cleveland. The goal of the Adult Learner program is to help immigrants improve their English skills, become citizens, and earn their GEDs through GED classes and GED programs.

Hispanic Youth Leadership Program: Esperanza Inc.’s Hispanic Youth Leadership Program is a year-long program for high school students. The program provides students with leadership training, community service opportunities, and college preparation. The goal of HYLP is to develop the leadership skills of Hispanic youth and prepare them for college and careers.

Mentoring: Esperanza Inc.’s mentoring program matches Hispanic students with college-educated mentors. Mentors provide guidance and support to students, helping them with their academic goals, college applications, and career planning. The goal of the mentoring program is to help students succeed in school and beyond.

Post-Secondary: Esperanza Inc.’s post-secondary programs provide support to Hispanic students who are planning to attend college. These programs include financial aid counseling, academic advising, and tutoring. The goal of these programs is to help students achieve their college goals and succeed in college.

STEAM Summer Camp: Esperanza Inc.’s annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Summer Camp is a free program for students. The camp is designed to build students’ knowledge and confidence in these subjects, while also providing strong literacy, socio-emotional, and health components. The camp includes group and individual mentoring, and students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, such as robotics, coding, engineering, and art.

In addition to the programs listed above, Esperanza Inc. also offers a variety of other services, such as family support, job training, and legal assistance. The organization’s mission is to “empower Hispanic youth and families to achieve their full potential.”
