After weeks of heartfelt gratitude and highlights, we are thrilled to share the official Fiesta of Hope 2025: Tropigala Highlights & Interviews video!
On September 13, 2025, Esperanza, Inc. brought together students, alumni, partners, and supporters at the Hotel Cleveland for an unforgettable evening of culture, community, and hope. From moving student stories to inspiring words from community leaders, Tropigala captured the vibrant energy that defines Fiesta of Hope!
This year’s celebration welcomed more than 500 guests, awarded 100 $1,000 scholarships to deserving students, and raised nearly $100,000 in net revenue to continue empowering the individuals and families we serve.

Esperanza is Hiring!
Are you passionate about teaching and empowering adult learners? Esperanza, Inc. is seeking dynamic Spanish Instructors to lead engaging language classes for adults over a 10-week contract!
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish clearly and effectively to adult learners
- Design lessons that incorporate language & culture
- Support diverse learning styles
- Provide constructive feedback
- Complete basic data entry (attendance & progress tracking)

Honoring a Legacy of Empowerment: Andres Chavez Visits Esperanza
Esperanza had the privilege of welcoming Andres Chavez, grandson of labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez and Executive Director of the Cesar Chavez Foundation, during a special Tour of Hope visit to our headquarters.
Chavez was greeted by Dr. Nicholas Mays, Esperanza Board Member, and Eliza Semidei, Esperanza Donor Relations and Events Manager, before meeting with our staff to learn more about our mission and impact in empowering students and families through education and leadership.
His visit to Esperanza took place while he was in Cleveland for the national launch of the Cesar Chavez Centennial Campaign, which began in the Midwest with Cleveland as the first stop. The campaign honors a powerful legacy of advocacy, labor rights, and community strength that continues to inspire change across the nation.
As the campaign expands, we are encouraged by the opportunity to align shared goals of uplifting underserved communities and advancing educational opportunity.
