Esperanza, Inc. Interim Leader Zulayka Ruiz-Barral had the honor of attending the AJC Cleveland Community Leadership Passover Seder, a meaningful evening that brought together leaders from across Northeast Ohio to reflect on the themes of freedom, resilience, and community.
She was proud to represent Esperanza alongside board members Nick Mays and Camila Negret, joining many inspiring community leaders for an evening of tradition, dialogue, and shared learning.
Passover commemorates the story of liberation and the enduring pursuit of freedom. Hearing the traditions, songs, and reflections shared throughout the evening served as a powerful reminder of the importance of understanding one another’s histories and strengthening connections across communities.
It was also wonderful to see strong Latino leadership represented in the room, highlighting the importance of diverse voices in conversations that build unity and mutual respect.
