Student Spotlight

March 22, 2019

Meet Yariana De Jesus! Yariana has been a scholarship recipient for the last four years. She is currently attending Cleveland State University with a double major in Pre-Med and Psychology.

During her senior year of high school, she was researching scholarships for Hispanic/Latino students and Esperanza was one of the first to pop up. After reading and researching about it she found out that Esperanza did so much more and she quickly applied for a scholarship and became a part of the family.

”Esperanza is my home away from home. Esperanza has been open to help with anything, not only topics related to college. They have been willing to hear me express my concerns when I need help. They have helped me stay accountable and keep my grades. Esperanza is a place to make your hopes and dreams come true. With the help of Esperanza and their donors I’ve been able to pay my way through college without the need to take out any student loans.”

After finishing her degree she is planning to continue her schooling and becoming an OB/GYN or a Psychologist.
